One of my colleagues wanted to make a birthday card for her toddler and asked me if I know any free image editing software and thought let me share with all of you here as well.

I absolutely love Photoshop and been using since photoshop 4 came out but apparently it comes at a price. But, if you don’t want to spend money and are open to experiment, you can download freebies such as Gimp as an alternative to Photoshop or Inkscape as an alternative for creating vector illustrations over Adobe Illustrator. In addition, if you are interested in web-based FREE photos editors, you can try one of these 10 alternatives to Photoshop.

I bet we all went through this hassle so many times. Let’s say you want to print an article from the online newspaper or a web page from any content-heavy website. Once printed, you have realized that among all the printed pages, most pages are unnecessary! Whoooh…what a disaster!! Most pages contains junk such as banner advertisements, unwanted navigation links, etc. which you don’t want. You have wasted so much paper and expensive ink! Most importantly, it is barely readable.

I went through same experience before so many times until I found this awesome website. Next time you want to print any web page, just go to PrintFriendly.com. Copy the web URL you want to print and paste it in the URL box and BOOM! You will not only save paper and ink but most outstandingly will get the nicer reading document. You can also select and delete the content you don’t want to print. The majority web pages contain graphics in them to enhance the readers’ understanding of the material so If you do not want graphics to be printed in the page, you have an option to remove that as well.

The feature I like the most – you can not only print the document but you have an option to save the document as an PDF, and can be able to email as well.

I have mentioned PrintFriendly website here but there are many more websites available out there which provides same service – just look for them online.

So, in conclusion – it is worth adding this link in your bookmark toolbar.

I was searching something this morning and I have noticed that Google search is now showing the landing (home) page of your website as a pop-up box on the right when you click on the preview icon (magnifying glass icon).

Really cool!! By looking at the landing page, you can decide do you want to click further or not! So how does it affect you? From now on, in your analytics report your bounce rate will go down significantly. Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. All visitors will not click on the link to see if they have reached the right website or not; but they will look at the screen-shot and decide they want to further dive in or not. Consequently, you might see your bounce rate will be more accurate.
